STOCKTON ADVANCES TO ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

No. 2 seed Richard Stockton (15-6-4) advanced to the ECAC Metro championship game with a 3-0 shutout of No. 3 seed Mount St. Mary (NY) (18-4-1). The Ospreys scored all three goals in the second half for the win.

Jess McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) snapped the scoreless deadlock with her ninth goal of the season, assisted by Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford) at 54:07.

Brianna DeStefano (Williamstown/ Williamstown) doubled Stockton's lead to 2-0 at 76:32 with her fifth tally of the year, assisted by Briana Fischer (Brick/Brick).

With just eight seconds remaining, Jessica Balnis (Dorothy/Buena) capped the 3-0 win with her team-high 11th goal of the season and Dailey Todd (Millville/Millville) registered the assist. Stockton goalie Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) made three saves for her seventh shutout of the season.

Stockton will play for the ECAC Metro championship tomorrow at 5 pm. Top-seeded NYU is the tourney host for the semifinals and final. Stockton has won five ECAC crowns (1993, 99, 02, 03, 04).
