The Stockton men’s soccer team was edged 2-1 in overtime by Eastern University. The Ospreys played their second consecutive overtime game, but the result turned out to be the opposite of Stockton’s 2-1 OT win over New Jersey City. Pat Tolomeo (Ocean City/Ocean City) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys to extend his point-scoring streak to four games and goalkeeper Brad Ferguson (Galloway/St. Joseph) registered 10 saves in 92-plus minutes.

Eastern quickly took a 1-0 lead with the only goal of the first half just 5:16 into the match. Stockton faced the one-goal deficit until well into the second half before Tolomeo tied the game at 1-1 with an assist by Sean McCallum (Vineland/ Vineland) at 70:44. Overtime ensued but did not last very long as Eastern scored the game-winning goal on a header just 2:16 into the first extra period for the 2-1 final.
