STOCKTON TEAMS EACH FIFTH AT CTC RELAY CARNIVAL

Richard Stockton opened the 2011-12 indoor track & field season by competing in the Collegiate Track Conference Relay Carnival at Yale University. The Osprey men’s team finished fifth while the women’s squad tied for fifth out of 14 squads the meet.

The Stockton quartet of Randy Faiges (Bayville/Central Regional), Dillon Glasser (Mays Landing/ACIT), Karl Petrini (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) and Alex Bruno (Voorhees/ Eastern) finished second and set a new school record in the men’s 4x1 mile relay with a time of 18:45.02.

Freshman Tim Miller (Tuckerton/Pinelands) tied for second in the high jump (1.89m) and finished fourth in the long jump (6.57m) at his first college meet. Ryan Mazzeo (Marmora/ Ocean City) tied for second in the pole vault (3.95m) and Tausmen Dunmore (Vineland/Vineland) placed third in the triple jump (13.08m).

Stockton had its best women’s finish in the 4x1 mile relay as Nicole Salge (Spotswood/Spotswood), Sara Bridge (Port Republic/Pilgrim Academy), Caitlyn Kozlowski (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) and Barbara Prokopiuk (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) placed fourth and set a new school record (23:40.94).

Morgan Sinclair (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) finished fifth in the 5000m run (19:14.22) while Salge, Bridge, Amanda Matthews (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) and Heather Renaud (Galloway/Absegami) teamed up for fifth place in the 4x800 relay (10:51.25).
