The Stockton women’s soccer team blanked William Paterson 1-0 in an NJAC home game for its third consecutive shutout victory. Val Davison (Cranbury/Princeton) scored the game-winning goal in the first half. Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford/Shawnee) made two saves for her sixth shutout of the season. Stockton has not allowed a goal in the last 285 minutes.
Davison picked up a loose ball, dribbled into the box and scored on a 15-yard shot at 13:31 for her third goal of the season. Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) nearly gave Stockton some breathing room in the second half on a sharp-angle shot that glanced off the crossbar. William Paterson had one last chance in the closing seconds, but Rogers caught a soft 18-yard shot on goal to preserve the shutout and 1-0 victory.
