The Stockton volleyball team dropped into second place in the NJAC with a 30-22, 30-22, 30-19 loss to New Jersey City. The teams both had been undefeated in conference play prior to the match. Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/ Cresskill) led the Ospreys with team highs of 14 kills and 11 digs. Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/Ridgewood) handed out 21 assists and Christine Astarita (Selden, NY/ Newfield) scooped 10 digs.

Stockton never led in dropping the opening game 30-22. Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/Immaculate Heart) sparked the Ospreys to a 4-0 lead in game two with one of her eight kills plus one block. NJCU answered with a 7-1 run and went on to another 30-22 win. The Ospreys tied the third game at 7-7 on a kill by Burkart followed by a block from Amanda Manganiello (Cranford/Cranford), but NJCU answered with a 7-2 spurt and later completed the sweep 30-19.
