||
Richard Stockton (9-7) ended its brief spring season with a tough 5-4 loss to Scranton. The teams split the six singles matches but the Ospreys dropped two out of three doubles contests. Laura Church (Wall/Ranney School) was the lone Stockton player to post victories in both singles and doubles. Church and Krystle Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) prevailed 8-5 at first doubles and Church also rallied to win her match at fourth singles, 1-6, 6-1, 10-8 in a tiebreaker. Brittany Hall (Rancocas/Rancocas Valley) won 6-3, 6-3 at second singles and Scout Bauer (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) edged her opponent 7-5, 7-5 at fifth singles. The defeat snapped Stockton’s three-match winning streak and left the Ospreys with a 3-3 record on their southern trip and a 9-7 overall mark for the 2011-12 season. |
