TIM MILLER NAMED NJAC MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Richard Stockton freshman Tim Miller (Tuckerton/ Pinelands) was named the first NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the 2012 season.

Miller made an impressive outdoor debut at the Stockton Invitational on Saturday. The freshman won the high jump, defeating nine competitors with a winning height of 1.98 meters.

Miller also finished eighth out of 15 entrants in the long jump with a best effort of 5.73 meters for the Ospreys. Saturday’s meet at G. Larry James Stadium was the first outdoor event of the season.

Miller also competed for Stockton during the 2011-12 indoor season where he posted personal bests of 1.89 meters in the high jump and 6.57 meters in the long jump. His highest finish of the indoor season was a tie for second place in the high jump at the CTC Relay Carnival on December 4.
