STOCKTON CRUISES TO 20-5 VICTORY OVER MARITIME

Richard Stockton (6-6, 3-1 Skyline) scored the first seven goals of the game and cruised to a convincing 20-5 victory over Maritime College (2-11, 1-2). Senior goalkeeper Noah Morris (Brick/Brick Twp.) earned his first career win.

Stockton opened the scoring just 48 seconds into the contest as Drew Wright (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) scored on an assist from Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/ Voorhees).

Bologno and Wright hooked up again less than a minute later, this time with Bologno getting the goal for a 2-0 score.

Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) made it 3-0 assisted by Wright before Stockton scored three times in 45 seconds. Vinny Gencarelli (Rockaway/Morris Hills), Brian Santoleri (Berwyn, PA/Archbishop Carroll) and Taylor Monticelli (Pasadena, MD/ Chesapeake) hit the net and Stockton led 6-0 after one period.

The onslaught continued as Nick Bologno, Santoleri and Dave Soule (Kinnelon/Kinnelon) tallied around scores by John Driscoll and Brennen Siele for the Privateers to give the Ospreys a 9-2 lead at half.

Wade Veselka (Chesterfield/Northern Burlington) scored two of Stockton’s five straight goals in the third period that made it a 14-2 game before Andrew Scalesi struck for Maritime with nine seconds left in the period. Stockton outscored the Privateers 6-2 in the fourth quarter for the 20-5 triumph.

Santoleri led the Ospreys with five goals while Veselka added three goals and five assists. Nick Bologno and Wright finished with two goals and two assists apiece while Monticelli contributed two goals.

Morris made six saves in earning his first career victory for Stockton. Nick Barbuto took the loss for Maritime, kicking out 12 shots in 41:37 of playing time.
