Richard Stockton (7-7) scored 10 goals in the first 14 minutes and pounded winless Rosemont (0-11) 25-4 in a non-conference road game. Dave Soule (Kinnelon/Kinnelon) led the Ospreys with five goals and one assist while Anthony Aponte (Freehold/ Freehold Twp.) scored four goals. Brian Santoleri (Berwyn, PA/Arch. Carroll) tallied three goals and two assists followed by Robert Krais (Jackson/ Jackson Memorial) with two goals and three assists. Twelve Ospreys scored at least one goal including Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./Christian Brothers Academy) who also won 24 of 27 faceoffs. Soule scored four goals and Santoleri netted three as Stockton raced out to a commanding 11-1 lead in the first quarter. Aponte and Krais netted two markers apiece as the Ospreys increased their advantage to 15-2 at the half. Aponte and Adam Harran (Neptune/Neptune) each scored twice in the third quarter to account for four of Stockton’s six tallies in the period, and the score was 21-4 after three frames. In the fourth quarter, Alex Kasprowicz (Cherry Hill/CH West) struck for his first two career goals and Tim Wolcott (Toms River/TR North) traded in his goalie crosse for a short stick and buried his first career goal to cap the 25-4 victory. Starting goalkeeper Noah Morris (Brick/Brick Twp.) earned the win with three saves in the first quarter before departing. After Wolcott spent the second period between the posts, Adam Boyette (Galloway/Absegami) took over for the second half and made four saves. |
