Leah Pocoroba (Galloway/Holy Spirit) notched a hat trick to lead the Stockton women’s soccer team to its fourth straight win, 5-2 over Montclair State in an NJAC game.  Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) added a goal and an assist while Laura O’Shea (Petersburg/Ocean City) also scored a goal for the Ospreys.  Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford/Shawnee) made five saves for the win.

 
Stockton jumped out to a 3-0 lead with three goals on breakaways in the first half.  Gibney opened the scoring at 23:24 and Pocoroba scored her first two markers less than five minutes apart at 33:25 and 38:06.  Freshman Veronica Yezo (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan) registered her first career point with an assist on Pocoroba’s second tally.
 
In the second half, Montclair State tried to rally with two goals in a span of 3:54 to pull within 3-2 with 34:54 to play.  Pocoroba scored her third goal of the game on a rebound at 78:42 and Val Davison (Cranbury/Princeton) collected her second assist on the day.  O’Shea later closed the scoring on a header at 85:21 and the Ospreys extended their unbeaten streak to nine games (8-0-1) with the 5-2 victory.
