The Stockton men’s soccer team scored two goals in the second half and shut out Rutgers-Newark 2-0 in its regular season finale.  Sean McCallum (Vineland/Vineland) and Rafael Duarte (Ocean City/Ocean City) netted one goal apiece while Ospreys’ goalkeeper Tim McKenna (Sewell/ Gloucester Catholic) made six saves for his fifth shutout of the season.  Despite the win, Stockton failed to qualify for the NJAC tournament.

McCallum got Stockton on the board with an unassisted goal, his seventh of the season, at 56:17.  Just 4:13 later, Duarte scored his league-leading 16th goal of the year on a bicycle kick with an assist by George Hamilton (Medford/Shawnee) for a 2-0 Stockton lead.  The Ospreys outshot Rutgers-Newark 23-11 and posted their second consecutive shutout, 2-0.

Seniors A.J. Colubiale (Cape May/Lower Cape May), Chris DePolis (Voorhees/ Eastern), Dan Kroslin (Hamilton/Steinert) and Eric Lewis (Dover, DE/Caesar Rodney), all four-year letter winners, played their final regular season home game.
