The Stockton field hockey team fell short 2-1 in an NJAC home game against 20th-ranked Montclair State.  Jackie Turner (Medford/Shawnee) scored her first goal of the season for the Ospreys and sophomore Bernadette Jablonoski (Cherry Hill/Paul VI) earned her first college point with an assist on the scoring play.  Stockton goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/Absegami) made eight saves in the game.
 
Montclair State quickly took a 1-0 lead with a goal just 1:39 into the game.  The Red Hawks added their second marker at 10:09 for a 2-0 advantage in less than 11 minutes of play.  In the second half, Turner took a pass from Jablonoski, stick-handled around the Montclair goalie and deposited the ball into the open net to pull Stockton within 2-1 with 10:57 remaining.  The Ospreys were unable to break through for the tying goal down the stretch, and they fell 2-1.
