Boxscore
The Stockton men’s soccer team ended its season at 11-8-2 after a 3-2 double-overtime loss to Rutgers-Camden in an ECAC Metro tournament semifinal game.  Seth McQuay (Montgomery, PA/Montgomery Area) and Rafael Duarte (Ocean City/Ocean City) each tallied a goal and an assist in the game.  Ospreys’ goalie Brad Ferguson (Galloway/ St. Joseph) registered nine saves on the day.

After Rutgers-Camden scored the only goal of the first half, McQuay netted his third goal of the season with a header at 47:53 to tie the score at 1-1.  McQuay’s header came off a pass from Rafael Duarte (Ocean City/Ocean City) who took a throw-in from Mike Holmes (Toms River/TR North).  Stockton took a 2-1 lead at 57:44 when Duarte scored his 17th goal of the season on a nice turnaround shot with an assist from McQuay, however that lead lasted only four minutes before Rutgers-Camden tied the match 2-2 at 61:42.

Both teams had their chances in the first overtime.  Holmes had a header that was turned away two minutes into the period.  Rutgers-Camden then scored an apparent goal that was nullified by an offside call.  In the second overtime, the Scarlet Raptors got the game-winner at 102:39 on a long chip shot into the far left corner of the Osprey net for the 3-2 final score.
