In its first game since November 17, the Stockton women’s basketball team topped Cabrini 51-45 in non-conference road contest.  The Ospreys rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit and shot 12-15 (80%) at the free throw line in the second half.  Lisa Neira (Cresskill/Cresskill) led Stockton with a game-high 14 points and Jenn Russell (Scotch Plains/SP-Fanwood) tossed in 10 markers.  Kristin Sciarrillo (Edison/Edison) also contributed eight points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Ospreys.
 
Cabrini opened up a 29-18 lead before Neira sank a late three-pointer to pull Stockton within 29-21 at the break.  After Cabrini scored the first basket of the second half for a 31-21 advantage, the Ospreys answered with a 14-2 run that ended with two free throws by Sciarrillo to put Stockton on top 35-33. 
 
The lead changed hands twice before Ashley Hart (Pt. Pleasant Beach/Peddie School) ignited a 7-0 spurt with a three-pointer that snapped a 37-37 tie and gave Stockton the lead for good.  When the seven-point run ended, the Ospreys were in front 44-37 with 1:27 to play.  They went 7-9 at the free throw line, including 5-6 by Neira, in the final 49 seconds to seal the 51-45 victory.
