In their final meet of the semester, the Stockton women’s track & field team finished seventh with 31.50 points and the Osprey men’s track & field team placed 13th with eight points at the Ursinus Winter Invitational.  Ronika Eckart (Pt. Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro) led Stockton by finishing second in the long jump (5.12m) and fifth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.87 seconds).

 

Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) placed second in the high jump (1.67m) and became an NCAA provisional qualifier in the process.  Danielle Zarnosky (Blackwood/Highland) finished fourth in the shot put (11.09m) and Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) was fifth in the pole vault (2.74m).  For the Stockton men’s team, Tony DeFeo (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) placed second in the pole vault (4.41m) and Abad Akhtar (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) was ninth in the 3000-meter run (9:16.98).
