Boxscore
The Stockton men’s basketball team fell to Moravian 67-65 on a three-pointer with four seconds left in the championship game of the Moravian Greyhound Starters Classic.  Jon Greene (Wildwood/Wildwood) led Stockton with a game-high 21 points, including a basket with 20 seconds left that gave the Ospreys a short-lived 65-64 lead.

One day after scoring his 1,000th point, Mario Lancioni (Runnemede/Triton) netted 12 markers for Stockton.  Greene and Lancioni were named to the All-Tournament Team.  Omar Smith (Newark/Central) also contributed 10 points and a career-high eight rebounds for the Ospreys.

Neither team led by more than six points in a close game that was tied nine times.  Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) converted a three-point play to give Stockton a 63-61 lead with 3:08 to play.  The Ospreys then went scoreless for nearly three minutes while Moravian pulled ahead 64-63.  Greene sank a jumper at the 20-second mark to put Stockton back on top 65-64, but Moravian sank the game-winning three-pointer with just four ticks left to defeat the Ospreys 67-65.

Greene started the game with six early points as Stockton jumped out to an 8-2 lead that was the largest spread of the entire contest.  Moravian later scored the final five points of the first half for a 27-24 lead at the break.  Greene (13 points), Lancioni (10) and Smith (10) combined for 33 of Stockton’s 41 second-half points, but the Ospreys were foiled by the last-second shot.
