The Stockton women’s basketball team could not keep up with DeSales in a 69-47 defeat on its home court.  Alyssa Reiter (Sewell/Gloucester Catholic) registered her first double-double with career highs of 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Kelley Guarrera (Shamong/Shawnee) netted 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, followed by Lisa Neira (Cresskill/Cresskill) with nine points and three assists.
 
Stockton’s only lead of the game came at 5-4 on a basket by Guarrera five minutes after the opening tip.  DeSales responded with five consecutive points and never looked back.  The Bulldogs opened up a 14-point lead late in the half, and Stockton faced a 35-23 deficit at intermission.  Reiter and Cehara Wellington (Cherry Hill/CH East) led the Ospreys with six first-half points apiece.
 
Stockton made its first three shots of the second half, two by Guarrera and one by Neira, to get as close as 10 points in the first two minutes before DeSales pulled away.  The Ospreys scored just seven points in the next 11 minutes while the DeSales lead ballooned to 26 points, 62-36, with 7:30 remaining.  Stockton trailed by at least 20 for the rest of the game in suffering the 69-47 defeat.
