The Stockton men’s basketball team outscored Hunter 88-77 for its third consecutive win.  Jon Greene (Wildwood/ Wildwood) led the Ospreys with team highs of 18 points and nine rebounds.  Omar Smith (Newark/Central) shot 6-7 from the field and scored a career-high 14 points.  Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) sank four three-pointers and finished with 14 points as well.
 
Stockton forced 13 turnovers and scored 51 points in a fast-paced first half.  Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) scored the final four points of a 10-0 run that gave the Ospreys a 31-18 lead.  At the end of the period, Greene converted a three-point play and Hubbard followed with a three-pointer to give Stockton a 51-36 advantage at the break.
 
In the second half, Hunter scored seven consecutive points to trim Stockton’s lead to eight, but Hubbard answered with a three-pointer and Smith followed with three straight points to give the Ospreys a 66-52 lead. Stockton led by double digits for all but two seconds during the last 13 minutes of the game in posting the 88-77 victory.
