Stockton senior forward Jon Greene (Wildwood/ Wildwood) scored his 1,000th career point as the Ospreys routed New Jersey City 101-60 for their fifth consecutive win.  Greene finished with 20 points and Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) added 20 points as well.  Freshman Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) tallied a career-high 15 points and Kevin Brown (Neptune/Neptune) scored 13 points for the Ospreys.

In the first half, Stockton shot 60.6 percent, including 8-14 (57.1%) from three-point range, while also forcing 19 turnovers and scoring 60 points.  Hubbard drained two three-pointers during a 10-0 spurt that gave the Ospreys a 30-12 lead.  Stockton later scored 15 consecutive points, led by Hubbard with six and Greene with five, for a 55-22 advantage.  Massaquoi sank a three-pointer as time expired to give the Ospreys an insurmountable 60-24 lead at the break.

Greene reached the 1,000-point milestone on a jumper with 15:25 remaining in the second half.  He is the 24th Stockton men’s basketball player to score 1,000 career points, and the second to reach that number this season, joining Mario Lancioni (Runnemede/Triton) who netted his 1,000th point on January 5.  Stockton led by 50 points twice in the second half and coasted to its fifth consecutive win, 101-60.
