The Stockton men’s basketball team returned from its one-week layoff with an 86-68 victory over Rutgers-Newark.  The Ospreys notched their sixth consecutive win, all by a double-digit margin.  Jon Greene (Wildwood/Wildwood) led a group of five double-figure scorers with 18 points while Fran Kelly (Wildwood/Wildwood Catholic) sank five three-pointers and finished with 17 points.
 
Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) shot 6-6 from the field and totaled 13 points, plus a game-high five assists.  Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) scored 11 points on perfect shooting, 4-4 from the field and 3-3 at the line.  Mario Lancioni (Runnemede/Triton) tossed in 10 points for the Ospreys, who shot 63.3 percent from the field in the game.
 
Greene scored five consecutive points to begin a 10-2 run that Hubbard punctuated with a dunk to give Stockton a 45-28 lead late in the first half, but Rutgers-Newark scored the next four points to pull within 45-32 at intermission.  The Scarlet Raiders only were able to close the gap to 10 points in the second half.  Stockton shot 68.4 percent from the field and 11-13 (84.6%) at the line in the period to protect its double-digit lead.  Kelly hit three three-pointers in the second half and the Ospreys rolled to the 86-68 victory.
