Boxscore
The Stockton men’s basketball team surrendered the most points of any game this season in an 87-74 loss to Rutgers-Camden.  Mario Lancioni (Runnemede/Triton) led the Ospreys with 18 points and Jon Greene (Wildwood/ Wildwood) notched a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Omar Smith (Newark/Central) scored a career-high 15 points and Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) added 10 points.  The loss ended Stockton’s 46-game winning streak against Rutgers-Camden since 1984.

Stockton’s only lead of the first half came when Hubbard opened the scoring just 21 seconds into the game.  A layup by Greene proved to be the only points for the Ospreys in the final three minutes of the half as Rutgers-Camden opened up a 34-23 lead at the break.  Stockton shot just 31 percent (9-29) from the field in the period.

The Ospreys roared to life with a 17-3 run to start the second half.  Hubbard scored eight points and Greene capped the spurt with a basket to put Stockton ahead 40-37.  Rutgers-Camden responded with five straight points to go back on top 42-40, and the Ospreys only held two brief one-point leads over the final 15 minutes.

Smith hit two free throws for Stockton’s final advantage of the night, 45-44 with 13:31 to play, but the Ospreys could not stop or keep pace with Rutgers-Camden, which shot 58 percent from the field and 12-19 (63.2%) from three-point range to outscore Stockton 87-74.
