The Stockton men’s basketball team shot 11-22 (50%) from three-point range and defeated College of New Jersey 83-72 in the final NJAC regular season home game for the Ospreys.  Jerome Hubbard (Neptune/Neptune) hit four three-pointers and finished with 20 points and five assists.  Santini Lancioni (Runnemede/Paul VI) tied his career high with 13 points and Kai Massaquoi (Lawnside/Haddon Hts.) scored 11 points.  The Ospreys shot 50.8 percent on offense and forced 26 TCNJ turnovers on defense.

Hubbard dunked and then followed with a three-point play during a 14-0 Stockton run that gave the Ospreys a 25-12 lead midway through the first half.  Stockton’s advantage ballooned to 16 points, 37-21, after a layup by Massaquoi.  Late in the period, TCNJ pulled within 44-37, but Lancioni drained a last-second three-pointer to give Stockton a 47-37 lead at the break.  Hubbard led all scorers with 11 first-half points and Lancioni contributed 10 points.

In the second half, TCNJ got as close as six points at 51-45, but Hubbard ended the threat with a three-pointer and Fran Kelly (Wildwood/Wildwood Catholic) followed with a trey of his own as Stockton built a 57-45 cushion with 14:30 remaining.  Later, with the Ospreys leading by nine, Hubbard sank another three-pointer for a 62-50 count, and Stockton led by double digits for the final 13 minutes to post an 83-72 victory.
