The Stockton women’s basketball team fell to College of New Jersey 58-32 in the final regular season home game for the Ospreys.  Lisa Neira (Cresskill/Cresskill) led Stockton with a team-high 12 points.  Kristin Sciarrillo (Edison/Edison) tied her career high with 16 rebounds and also scored eight points for the Ospreys, who shot just 25.5 percent from the field and were held to their lowest offensive total of the year.

The teams shot a combined 0-10 in the first four minutes before Kim Herriger (Howell/Msgr. Donovan) finally opened the scoring on a layup by at the 15:48 mark.  After falling behind 9-4, Stockton responded with an 11-2 spurt that Neira capped with her second three-pointer to put the Ospreys ahead 15-11.  A basket by Neira and a free throw from Alyssa Reiter (Sewell/Glocuester Catholic) were Stockton’s only three points in the final nine minutes of the half, and the Ospreys trailed 25-18 at the break.

TCNJ methodically broke the game open in the second half as Stockton continued to struggle at the offensive end.  The Ospreys shot a meager 7-29 from the field (24.1%) and 0-5 from three-point range on their way to scoring just 14 points in the period.  Sciarrillo paced Stockton with six points and four other players scored one basket apiece, but the Ospreys fell 58-32.
