The Stockton baseball team defeated Centenary 12-3 for its third consecutive win to open the 2008 season.  Matt Allen (Salem/Woodstown) led the Stockton offense by going 3-3 with three RBI while Nick Corrado (West Deptford/ Gloucester Catholic) was 2-3 with a double, three runs and two RBI.  Lefty Matt Hunt (Marlton/St. Joseph) earned the pitching victory with 5.1 shutout innings during which he allowed four hits, struck out two and induced double play balls in each of the first three frames.
 
In the second inning, Stockton loaded the bases and scored five runs on four RBI singles and a hit batsman for an early 5-0 lead.  Allen stroked an RBI single for the second consecutive inning to highlight a three-run third frame that put the Ospreys on top 8-0. 
 
Corrado ripped an RBI double and Allen slapped another RBI single in the fifth inning as Stockton increased its lead to 12-0 with four more runs.  Centenary broke the shutout with three unearned runs in the top of the eighth and game was stopped due to darkness after the half-inning as Stockton collected its third straight win, 12-3.
