Six Ospreys Compete at ECAC Championships

Six previous qualifiers from the Stockton track & field teams went up against NCAA Division III competitors from throughout the northeast at the ECAC Championships. Tony DeFeo (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) was the top performer for the Ospreys, placing fifth in the pole vault (4.55m). Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) tied for sixth place in the high jump (1.61m).

Also for Stockton, Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/Hamilton West) placed 10th in the 5000m run (18:01.11). In the weight throw, Stephanie Aromando (Newton/Kittatinny) finished 12th (14.29m) and Kelly Rozing (Hazlet/ Raritan) placed 24th (13.04m). Victoria Barden (Bayville/Central) finished 13th in the hugh jump (1.56m) for the Ospreys as well. Each event in which a Stockton student-athlete participated featured between 20 and 33 competitors.
