The Stockton lacrosse team had its brief two-game winning streak halted with an 11-7 loss to Plymouth State.  Jonathan Kelly (Howell/Howell) led Stockton with two goals and one assist while Steve Mazurek (Jackson/ Jackson) netted two goals for the Ospreys.  Keith Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) also tallied a goal and two assists.  Stockton goalie Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/ West Morris Mendham) registered 15 saves in the game.

 

Bologno scored just 29 seconds after the opening whistle to give Stockton its only lead of the game.  Plymouth State netted two goals before Alec Chisholm (Jackson/Jackson) pulled the Ospreys into a 2-2 tie with a goal at the 5:05 mark of the second quarter.  The Panthers reeled off the next five goals of the game for a 7-2 lead.  Mazurek finally ended Stockton’s offensive drought with a goal 38 seconds into the fourth quarter, but the Ospreys could get no closer than three in the final period of the 11-7 defeat.
