The Stockton lacrosse team opened up a five-goal lead early in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat Susquehanna 9-8 for its second consecutive win.  Matt Bell (Jackson/ Jackson) led the Ospreys with three goals and Jonathan Kelly (Howell/Howell) notched two goals and an assist.  Stockton goalie Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/West Morris Mendham) registered nine saves in the victory.
 
Kelly scored consecutive markers to cap a five-goal Stockton outburst that gave the Ospreys a 7-2 lead with 5:52 remaining in the third quarter.  Susquehanna scored its only goal of the period with 39 seconds left, but Bell answered for Stockton early in the fourth quarter to put the Ospreys on top 8-3 with 11:33 to play in the game.
 
Susquehanna netted two goals in a span of 13 seconds to pull within 8-5 but Sean Woodward (Spring Lake Hts./Manasquan) responded with the eventual game-winner for Stockton at the 6:05 mark.  The Crusaders then scored three consecutive goals to rally within 9-8 with 2:11 to play.  Susquehanna nearly tied the game on a shot that rang off the post with 15 seconds remaining as Stockton held on for the 9-8 triumph.
