Eddie Ortiz

Boxscore
The Stockton baseball team was held to just four hits and blanked for the first time in 60 games in a 3-0 loss to Rutgers-Camden.  Eddie Ortiz (Vineland/Vineland) and Jeff Lundell (Henderson, NV/Kentridge (WA)) each registered a single and a stolen base.  Chris Discher (Cherry Hill/CH West) and Nick DiGirolamo (Dumont/ Dumont) also singled once apiece in the game.

Rutgers-Camden took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.  Stockton had its best chance to score in the sixth when Lundell sandwiched a two-out single around a walk to Scott Fisher (Toms River/TR East) and an intentional walk to Joe Sacerdote (Deptford/Gloucester Catholic) that loaded the bases.  The rally fizzled on an inning-ending fly out and Rutgers-Camden added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.  The Ospreys managed just two baserunners in the final three innings of the 3-0 defeat.
