The Stockton lacrosse team had its three-game winning streak snapped with an 18-8 defeat to Kean in a Skyline Conference home game.  Matt Bell (Jackson/Jackson) paced Stockton with three goals and one assist for four points while Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s Prep) tallied one goal and one assist for the Ospreys.  The game was delayed for a half-hour due to lightning during the first quarter.

 

Bell netted both Stockton goals in the first period, but Kean scored four times for a 4-2 lead.  Kean opened up a 6-2 cushion, but Bell later tallied the final goal of the half to pull the Ospreys within 7-5 at the break.  The Cougars outscored Stockton 9-1 in the third quarter, with Keith Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) scoring the only markers for the Ospreys.  Stockton trailed 16-6 at the end of the period and fell 18-8.
