The Stockton men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams competed in the New Jersey Invitational at The College of New Jersey.  Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/ Hamilton West) won the 5000-meter run (18:18.94) by 51 seconds and broke her own school record from last Saturday.  Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) won the high jump (1.65m) and became an NCAA provisional qualifier for the Ospreys. 

 

Victoria Barden (Bayville/Central) tied for second behind Shepherd in the high jump (1.56m) and also placed sixth in the pole vault (2.95m).  Stephanie Aromando (Newton/ Kittatinny) finished second in the hammer throw (44.08m) and Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) placed fourth in the pole vault (3.10m).  For the Stockton men’s team, Abad Akhtar (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) finished fourth in the 5000-meter run (15:47.81) and Mike Powers (Pennsville/Pennsville) was fifth in the javelin (51.82m).
