Stockton Competes at TCNJ Lions Invitational

Results

The Stockton men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams competed in the TCNJ Lions Invitational at College of New Jersey. There was no team scoring at the meet. Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) led the Ospreys by winning the high jump (1.63m). Stephanie Aromando (Newton/Kittatinny) finished second in the hammer throw (45.36m) and Victoria Barden (Bayville/Central) tied for third place in the high jump (1.56m).

Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.27) for the Ospreys. Tony DeFeo (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) finished second (55.16m) and Mike Powers (Pennsville/Pennsville) was sixth (52.90) in the men’s javelin. Abad Akhtar (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) crossed the finish line seventh in the 1500-meter run (4:05.02) for Stockton.
