Stockton Competes in Varsity Eight at Mid-Atlantic Regionals

The Stockton women’s rowing team competed in the varsity eight at the Mid-Atlantic Division III Regionals in York, Pennsylvania. Tarin Stauffer (Ocean City/Ocean City), Emileah Switzer (Tinton Falls/Maranatha Christian), Michele Elberson (Atlantic City/Atlantic City), Nicole Price (Egg Harbor/Absegami), Ceili Bachman (Lincoln, PA/Avon Grove), Melanie Whalen (Long Valley/West Morris Central), Regina Shayakhmetova (Freehold/Colts Neck) and Sara Garrison (Pittsgrove/Salem County Tech) were in the boat along with coxswain Lauren Brown (Brigantine/Holy Spirit).

In heat one, the Ospreys posted a time of 7:53.5 that earned them fourth place. Stockton then advanced to the petite final, where the Ospreys finished fifth with a time of 7:47.5 in the race. The Stockton novice four unit and varsity four quartet combined its efforts for the first time this season to compete in the varsity eight at the regatta.
