Richard Stockton dominated Immaculata 7-0 in the first round of the Stockton Classic tournament. Laura O’Shea (Petersburg/Ocean City) led the Ospreys with two goals and an assist while Courtney Dougherty (Ocean City/ Ocean City) tallied a goal and an assist. Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford/Shawnee) made two saves in 75 minutes and Danielle Nettleton (Mt. Laurel/ Lenape) played the final 15 minutes without facing a shot to complete the combined shutout.
O’Shea and Kim Mancini (Toms River/TR North) scored goals 3:07 apart in the first half for a 2-0 lead. Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) increased the advantage to 3-0 with a marker just 1:20 into the second half. Dougherty and O’Shea later struck for goals in a span of 2:32 as Stockton broke out to a 5-0 lead. Yeronica Yezo (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan) scored her first career goal at 76:44 and Katelyn Reiter (Union/Union) completed the 7-0 rout with a tally at the 86:50 mark. |
