Richard Stockton was dumped 4-2 by Misericordia in the final game of the 2008 Stockton Classic.  The Ospreys fell behind 2-0 in the first 16 minutes and could not recover from the early deficit.  Amanda Altman (Beachwood/Toms River South) and Kim Mancini (Toms River/TR North) netted one goal apiece in the second half for Stockton.  Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) assisted on both goals by the Ospreys.

Misericordia struck quickly, scoring its first goal only eight seconds into the game.  Not long after, the Cougars tallied again for a 2-0 lead with just 15:45 gone by.  In the second half, Altman scored at the 50-minute mark to pull Stockton within 2-1, but the Ospreys would get no closer.  Misericordia answered just 5:33 later to re-establish a two-goal cushion and then increased its lead to 4-1 with another score at 70:32.  Mancini added a late goal for Stockton with 6:37 to play, but the Ospreys came up short, 4-2.
