Richard Stockton (3-3-1, 0-1) played its NJAC opener at New Jersey City (5-2-1, 1-0) and was outscored 5-2 by the Gothic Knights for its third consecutive defeat following a 3-0-1 start to the season.  Sean Nelson (Toms River/TR South) and Mike Holmes (Toms River/TR North) scored goals late in the game for the Ospreys, but the outcome already had been decided.  Stockton goalkeeper Lou Herring (Freehold/ Freehold) registered two saves in the match.

Stockton had an opportunity to take an early lead on a penalty kick just 2:09 after the opening kick, but the shot by Pat Tolomeo (Ocean City/Ocean City) was saved by the New Jersey City goalie.  The Gothic Knights later exploded for three goals in a seven-minute span and Stockton faced a 3-0 deficit at halftime.  Trailing 5-0, the Ospreys finally broke the shutout when Nelson scored a goal assisted by Brennen Fitzsimmons (Neptune/Neptune) at 74:46.  Holmes converted a penalty kick at 87:29, but Stockton fell to New Jersey City 5-2.
