Stockton Splits Two at Franklin & Marshall

Richard Stockton (13-6) split its two matches at the Franklin & Marshall Tournament.  The Ospreys began with sweep of Moravian 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 behind 10 kills and 11 digs from Christine Velott (Moorestown/Moorestown).  Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/Ridgewood) registered 24 assists and 19 digs while Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/Cresskill) added nine kills and nine digs.  Christine Astarita (Selden, NY/ Newfield) scooped 16 digs in the victory.

Stockton then fell to tournament-host Franklin & Marshall in straight sets 25-22, 25-19, 25-13.  Burkart led the Ospreys with 12 kills and 10 digs.  Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/Immaculate Heart) spiked eight kills in the match.  Astarita finished with 17 digs and Aletras contributed 32 assists and 11 digs for Stockton.
