Richard Stockton (9-1-1, 3-0) shut out Ramapo (3-4-1, 1-2) 4-0 in an NJAC match for its sixth consecutive win. Samantha Bean (Manchester/Manchester Twp.), Veronica Yezo (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan), Laura O’Shea (Petersburg/Ocean City) and Katelyn Reiter (Union/Union) scored one goal apiece for the Ospreys, who are unbeaten in their last nine games (8-0-1). Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford/Shawnee) made two saves for her fifth shutout of the season. Bean scored the only that Stockton would need late in the first half at 40:49 with an assist by Courtney Dougherty (Ocean City/Ocean City). The Ospreys broke the game open with three more goals in the second half. Yezo hit the back of the net with a volley shot just 52 seconds into the period, assisted by Kim Mancini (Toms River/TR North), for a 2-0 Stockton lead. Laura O’Shea (Petersburg/Ocean City) followed with a goal assisted by Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) at 63:35. Later, Katelyn Reiter (Union/Union) capped the 4-0 victory with a tally assisted by Sara Petersen (Beachwood/Toms River South) with just 6:39 remaining in the game. |
