Richard Stockton (19-7, 5-0) remained unbeaten in conference play with a 25-7, 25-8, 25-22 sweep of Kean (7-12, 1-4) in an NJAC match. Christine Velott (Moorestown/ Moorestown) led the Ospreys with 10 kills and Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/Immaculate Heart) contributed nine kills and three blocks. Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/ Ridgewood) dished 18 assists while Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/Cresskill) and Nicole Ober (Cherry Hill/CH East) scooped six digs apiece for the Ospreys.
In the first set, O’Donnell slammed six kills to lead Stockton to the 25-7 win. O’Donnell sparked the Ospreys with three more kills in the second frame as Stockton again cruised, 25-8. Kean opened up an 11-5 lead in the third set but the Ospreys rallied behind six kills by Velott to complete the sweep 25-22. |
