Pat Tolomeo (Ocean City/Ocean City) scored his seventh goal of the season as No. 24 Richard Stockton (15-4-1, 7-2) defeated No. 11 William Paterson (12-4-2, 5-3-1) 1-0 in the regular season finale for both teams.  Stockton goalkeeper Matt Hart (Dayton/South Brunswick) made four saves as the Ospreys posted their third consecutive shutout.  With the victory, the Ospreys clinched the second seed in the upcoming NJAC tournament and will host the semifinal round on November 4 at 7 pm.

After a scoreless first half, the Ospreys took the lead in the 58th minute when Carmine Tango (Mendham/Mendham) sent a cross from the right wing into the middle.  The pass connected with the foot of Tolomeo, who slipped it past the William Paterson goalkeeper for the goal.  The Ospreys outshot William Paterson 14-8 and survived a scare in the 27th minute when the Pioneers hit the crossbar on their best scoring chance of the night.  The 1-0 victory was Stockton’s fourth straight win.
