NJAC Tournament:
Stockton def. Rowan 25-14, 19-25, 25-19, 25-16

Top-seeded Richard Stockton (28-8) dropped fourth-seeded Rowan (17-18) in four sets 25-14, 19-25, 25-19, 25-16 in the NJAC semifinals.  Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/Cresskill) led the Ospreys to their sixth consecutive win with 18 kills.  Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/Immaculate Heart) slammed 15 kills and setter Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/ Ridgewood) directed the Stockton attack with 48 assists.  The Ospreys advanced to the NJAC championship match, where they will host Ramapo on Saturday at 5 pm. 

In the first set, Burkart registered five kills and Aletras dished 14 assists to spark Stockton to the 25-14 win.  Despite five more kills by Burkart in the second set, Rowan evened the match as the Profs dealt Stockton its first lost set in 10 matches against an NJAC opponent this season, 25-19.

Stockton jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the third set, but Rowan answered with a 9-2 run to pull within 14-11.  Burkart and Christine Velott (Moorestown/Moorestown) smacked five kills apiece as the Ospreys prevailed 25-19.  O’Donnell took over in the fourth set with seven kills and two blocks to lead Stockton to the match-ending 25-16 win.
