NJAC Tournament:
#14 Rowan 2, #23 Stockton 0

Alex Rogers

Boxscore
Top-seeded Richard Stockton (18-3-1) fell to second-seeded and undefeated Rowan (15-0-2) 2-0 in the NJAC championship game.  Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford/Shawnee) recorded six saves but the Ospreys were held scoreless and finished as the NJAC tournament runner-up for the second consecutive year.  Despite the outcome, Stockton is likely to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year.

Stockton and Rowan slogged their way through a scoreless first half in heavy rain that resulted in soggy conditions.  The Profs took advantage of a free kick to score their first goal at 67:47.  The restart was served into the box, headed across the goal-mouth and tapped in for a 1-0 Rowan lead.  The Profs added a late insurance goal on a breakaway at 82:26 and defeated Stockton 2-0, denying the Ospreys their first NJAC championship in school history.
