Richard Stockton (2-11, 0-4) stayed with William Paterson (11-4, 3-0) until the final eight minutes of a 70-54 defeat in an NJAC home game. For the Ospreys, Kristin Sciarrillo (Edison/Edison) tied a career high with 14 points to go along with 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) tossed in 12 points and she grabbed 10 rebounds for her first double-double in an Osprey uniform. Kelley Guarrera (Shamong/Shawnee) also added 11 points.

The game was back-and-forth in the first half with neither team holding a lead higher than seven points. Stockton led for the almost the entire first 10 minutes of the game, but the Ospreys held their last lead of the game at 14-13 after a jumper by Sciarrillo. Stockton tied the game on two more occasions in the period before falling behind 25-18. Fagan later hit two free throws to pull the Ospreys within 28-25 before William Paterson scored the final basket of the half for a 30-25 score.

In the second half, Stockton was able to cut the lead to a single point twice, on a layup by Fagan at 15:41 and later on two free throws by Guarrera at 14:15, however that is as close as the Ospreys came. Stockton later chopped a 10-point deficit down to just four at 52-48 after a jumper by Sciarrillo with 8:02 to play. The Ospreys then went scoreless for nearly four minutes as William Paterson broke the game open with eight consecutive points and went on to defeat Stockton 70-54.
