Richard Stockton (5-15, 2-7) saw its three-game winning streak halted by Rutgers-Newark (10-10, 4-5) 55-45 in an NJAC home game. Monique Garcia (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) and Sula Washington (Montgomery Village, MD/ Watkins Mill) added six points apiece.

Rutgers-Newark began the game on a 4-0 run, however Stockton countered to take its only lead of the game at 5-4 on a three-pointer by Ashley Hart (Pt. Pleasant Beach/Peddie School). Rutgers-Newark later opened up a nine-point lead before Stockton answered with five straight to pull within 19-15 after a trey by Guarrera. The Scarlet Raiders outscored Stockton 14-3 over the next six minutes for a 33-18 count at the break.

Offensive woes again plagued the Ospreys in the second half as they notched just six points in 12 minutes while Rutgers-Newark broke out to a 47-24 advantage. Washington and Guarrera tallied five points apiece as Stockton closed the game with a 15-2 run, but the outcome already had been decided. Overall, the Ospreys shot just 27.5 percent from the field in suffering the 55-45 defeat.
