Stockton Teams Compete at Ursinus and Widener

Ursinus Results / Widener Results
The Stockton women’s indoor track & field team placed fifth while the men’s team finished 11th in the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College. Ronika Eckart (Pt. Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro) won the 55-meter hurdles (8.68 seconds) and broke her own school record in the event. Amanda Williams (Williamstown/ Williamstown) won the high jump (1.56m) and Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) won the 1000-meter run (3:09.14) for the Stockton women’s team. Tony DeFeo (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) won the men’s pole vault (4.55m) for the Ospreys.

Because the weight throw was not offered at Ursinus, the Stockton throwers attended the Widener Invitational, where Stephanie Aromando (Newton/Kittatinny) won the weight throw (14.55m) by nearly two meters to complete the list of five event winners for Stockton over the weekend. Also at Widener, Kelly Rozing (Hazlet/Raritan) finished third in the weight throw (12.84m) and Stephanie Fegan (Woodcliff Lake/Pascack Hills) placed third in the shot put (11.02m).

At the Ursinus meet, Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) finished third in the pole vault (3.20m) while Katelyn Reiter (Union/Union) placed third in the 400-meter dash (1:02.14) and Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/Hamilton West) was third in the 3000-meter run (11:04.53). Ben Hammond (Williamstown/Williamstown) finished third in the triple jump (13.47m) and Matt Rutherford (Toms River/TR East) was third in the 1000-meter run (2:41.75) for the Stockton men’s team.
