Richard Stockton (2-0) opened up an eight-goal lead in the second half and held on to defeat Moravian (1-5) 13-11. Keith Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) powered the Stockton offense with four goals and three assists while Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/ St. Peter’s Prep) added three goals and one assist for the Ospreys. Stockton goalie Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/ Mendham) earned the win with 11 saves in 45 minutes played before leaving the game with an injury.

Dybus scored three goals in the first quarter as Stockton raced out to a 6-0 lead. Moravian opened the second quarter with three straight tallies, but the Ospreys later netted the final three goals of the period for an 11-4 lead after Bologno closed the first-half scoring.

Stockton held a commanding 13-5 advantage after Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) scored with 7:45 left in the third quarter. Moravian began its comeback attempt with two markers in the last 5:28 of the period to make the score 13-7 after three stanzas. The Greyhounds struck for three more goals in the first 36 seconds of the fourth quarter and got as close as 13-11 with 4:43 remaining. Stockton tightened defensively from there and held on for the 13-11 victory.
