Richard Stockton (3-2) split a doubleheader against Gettysburg (5-7) on the first day of its spring break trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida. Scott Fisher (Toms River/TR East) went 2-3 including an RBI double in the ninth inning of the first game but the Ospreys fell 6-3. Stockton jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after a Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) sacrifice fly. In the bottom of the first however, Gettysburg erupted for six runs off four hits and two walks. The Ospreys added a pair of runs in the ninth inning before coming up short 6-3.

In game two, the Ospreys secured a 5-3 victory and got a stellar performance from starting pitcher Matt Hunt (Medford/St. Joseph). The junior pitched a complete game, giving up three runs off six hits with seven strikeouts. The Ospreys erased a 3-1 deficit with two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings. Fisher went 3-3 with two doubles and two runs. Wedding and Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) stroked two hits apiece.

Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, an RBI single by Wasco and an RBI double by Dan McGuckin (Sicklerville/Winslow Twp.) tied the game. The Ospreys took the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth frame on a sacrifice fly by Matt Allen (Salem/Woodstown) and an RBI single by Hunt, who then completed the 5-3 victory with two scoreless innings on the mound.
