Game 1 / Game 2
Richard Stockton (11-5, 0-2) had its six-game winning streak snapped with a pair of losses to New Jersey City (10-11-1, 2-1) 5-3 and 12-9 in the NJAC opener for the Ospreys. In the first game, Jay Merulla (Logan Twp./Kingsway) and Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) each went 2-3 as the pair accounted for four of Stockton's seven hits in the game.

Stockton led 3-2 after an RBI single by Merulla and a two-run single by Wedding in the top of the sixth. New Jersey City rallied with a run in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game 3-3, and the Gothic Knights scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Ospreys 5-3.

Merulla went 3-5 with a double and two runs while Marc Asta (Jackson/Jackson) was 3-4 in the nightcap. Scott Fisher (Toms River/TR East) went 2-5 with a double and two RBI as well. A two-run double by Fisher was the key blow as Stockton scored six runs on four hits and an NJCU error in the top of the second for an early 6-0 lead. Wedding ripped an RBI double in the third frame for a 7-3 Stockton advantage.

New Jersey City took the lead for good with six runs in the bottom of the fourth. Later trailing 10-7, Stockton pulled within 10-9 by scoring twice in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Asta and an RBI grounder by Merulla, but NJCU tacked on a pair of runs in the eighth for the 12-9 final.
