Boxscore
Richard Stockton (12-6, 1-3) snapped a three-game skid with a
6-3 victory over Rutgers-Camden (6-14, 1-3) in an NJAC home game. Scott Fisher (Toms River/TR East) went 2-3 with two doubles and run scored while Matt Allen (Salem/Woodstown) was 2-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Freshman pitcher Bill Hauer (Manahawkin/Southern) allowed two runs on eight hits with five strikeouts in 6.2 innings for his first career victory.

After Rutgers-Camden took a 1-0 lead, Stockton went ahead 2-1 on a rare two-run sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. A deep fly ball by Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) was caught by the Rutgers-Camden right fielder who slammed into the fence and fell while Fisher and Marc Asta (Jackson/Jackson) tagged up and scored from second and third respectively.

Stockton increased its lead to 4-1 on an RBI double by Allen and an RBI single by Nick DiGirolamo (Dumont/Dumont) in the sixth frame. Rutgers-Camden scored one run apiece in the seventh and eighth innings to pull within 4-3 but Stockton added two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth and collected its first NJAC victory of the season, 6-3.
