Novice Eight and Varsity Four Compete at Occoquan Sprints |
Richard Stockton competed in the novice eight and varsity four races at the Occoquan Sprints in Virginia. In the novice eight, the Ospreys placed third in their heat with a time of 8:09.73 and advanced to the final, where Stockton finished sixth at 8:39.25 while competing against four NCAA Division I teams and one Division III squad.
Coxswain Allison Ninfa (Williamstown/Buena) led a lineup of Carrie Borkowski (Belleville/Belleville), Chelsey Barber (Cape May CH/Cape May Tech), Alexandra Mankofsky (Wyckoff/Ramapo), Eva Martin (Riverdale/DePaul Catholic), Marie Livesy (Northfield/Mainland), Stephanie Gilliard (Atlantic City/Atlantic City), Stephanie Roth (Millstone Twp./St. John Vianney) and Marcelle LaCroix (Millstone Twp./Allentown). The Stockton varsity four of Ceili Bachman (Lincoln, PA/Avon Grove), Laura O’Donnell (Mt. Laurel/Lenape), Michele Elberson (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) and Melanie Whalen (Long Valley/West Morris Central) with coxswain Ariel Hernandez (Hammonton/Hammonton) finished second in its heat with a time of 8:23.64. The Ospreys registered the fourth fastest time out of 11 entries in two heats of the varsity four. |
