Richard Stockton (8-3) recorded a pair of victories on the fourth day of its spring break trip to Cocoa Beach, FL. In game one, the Ospreys defeated Franciscan 4-3 after a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth inning pushed across the winning run. Stockton received a strong pitching performance from Matt Hunt (Marlton/St. Joseph) who pitched seven innings and gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out nine batters.

The Ospreys got off to a quick lead in the bottom of the first after a two-run single by Scott Fisher (Toms River/TR East) made the score 2-0. Stockton later went ahead 3-2 on an RBI double by Kyle McArdle (Wall/Wall) in the fourth, but Franciscan plated the tying run in the top of the eighth. In the bottom half, Brian Calabria (Barnegat/Barnegat) scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball and gave the Ospreys a 4-3 lead. LaVoie then struck out two batters in the bottom of the ninth and preserved the win.

In game two, the Ospreys used a five-run third inning and a solid outing from staring pitcher Sean Donovan (West Keansburg/Raritan) to defeat Baruch 7-3. Hunt and Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) both went 2-4 with Wedding tallying two RBI. Leadoff man Nick DiGirolamo (Dumont/Dumont) went 1-5 and scored two runs.

On the mound, Donovan went seven strong innings, giving up one earned run off five hits with five strikeouts. Bryan Frank (Toms River/TR East) relieved Donovan in the eighth inning and pitched two scoreless frames to close out the contest.
